Patrick was born on 17th December 1956 in Greenwich, London he was spotted by producer Ray Butt in a Pizza Hut television commercial, where he was seen to be trying to chat up two girls (and failing miserably). Ray saw potential in Patrick and the character he played in the ad and snapped him up. Within two days of being offered the job he was filming his first scenes for "Healthy Competition" in Brighton.
